An online process can guide you through the details about the donor, attorneys, replacement attorneys, decision-making choices, certificate provider and registration information.
Honour LPA is an independent service, not the Office of the Public Guardian. We provide a guided online journey designed to make preparing the information easier to follow.
What cannot be completed purely online
Government guidance currently requires the relevant people to sign the same original document. Digital signatures and signed copies do not replace the required original signatures.
The signing order also matters. The donor signs first, the certificate provider signs after the donor, and the attorneys sign after the certificate provider.
How long does the Honour LPA questionnaire take?
For a straightforward application, the online questionnaire is designed to be completed in around 15 minutes. That is the time for the online information-gathering journey, not the time for government registration.
You do not need to rush. Progress can be saved so you can stop, check information with family members and return later.
What happens after your information is ready?
You review the information you entered, complete your order and receive the prepared documents and signing guidance through the Honour LPA process.
You then need to follow the signing instructions carefully and submit the signed original for registration with the Office of the Public Guardian.
