The Office of the Public Guardian registration fee is separate. It is paid when the lasting power of attorney is sent for registration, not to Honour LPA.
The current Office of the Public Guardian registration fee
The current application fee is £92 for each lasting power of attorney registered. Health and welfare and property and financial affairs are separate documents, so registering both types means two registration applications and two government fees.
Government fees can change, so it is sensible to check the latest Office of the Public Guardian guidance before registration.
Can the registration fee be reduced?
Current government guidance says a donor whose income before tax is less than £12,000 a year may qualify for a 50% remission. A donor receiving certain means-tested benefits may qualify for an exemption.
Eligibility rules matter and evidence may be required. The reduced-fee application is made under the Office of the Public Guardian rules, not decided by Honour LPA.
